Héritage An 1130 Cité de Carcassonne Blanc 2020 is a chardonnay of a bright golden colour. On the nose, citrussy freshness mixes with warm acacia and nutty aromas such as hazelnut and coconut. This is a light, dry white wine, generous and well-rounded on the palate with a lingering mineral finish.

Héritage An 1130 Cité de Carcassonne Blanc originates from Carcassonne in the south of France. Here, the Mediterranean climate is warm with a maritime influence, enabling the chardonnay grapes to reach maturity with intense fruity aromas.
Harvesting takes place early in the morning in order to preserve the grapes’ freshness and aromas. The fruit subsequently undergoes a delicate pressing to release the juice. Then after a two week fermentation, the wine is racked and aged.
“An 1130” is a reference to the year the first fortification of the Cité de Carcassonne was built. The fort is a medieval monument classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
