Trumpeter Cabernet Franc is a ruby red wine with concentrated berry and stone fruit aromas mixed with a little mint and tobacco. On the palate, plum and redcurrant come forward, supported by spicy notes of pink peppercorn and vanilla. The finish is smooth, with fresh acidity. Cellar for up to 5 years.

Especially good with roasted or stewed beef and game meats. You could also try it with spicy sausages such as chorizo and merguez.
About this bottle
Trumpeter Cabernet Franc is made from grapes grown in Tupungato, Mendoza, at an altitude of 1,100 metres above sea level. Mendoza is Argentina’s premier wine growing region, where the high altitude and free draining soils stress the vines. As a result, the vines yield fewer but more intensely flavoured fruit.
Following malolactic fermentation, a small cut of the wine is matured in French oak for 7 months to impart subtle oak notes; this also helps to balance the acidity and soften the tannins.
