About the Distillery
Bacardi is a prominent rum brand with a storied history dating back to 1862 when it was founded in Cuba. Today, Bacardi is a global brand, and its rums are enjoyed in numerous countries around the world.
How this product is made
Fermentation: Molasses, a byproduct of sugarcane processing, is fermented with yeast to produce a liquid known as “molasses wine.”
Distillation: The molasses wine is distilled in column stills to create a high-proof rum distillate.
Aging: The rum distillate is aged for a minimum of 10 years in carefully selected oak barrels. During the aging process, the rum gains complexity, flavor, and character from the interaction with the wood.
Blending: After aging, the aged rums are carefully blended to achieve a consistent flavor profile for Bacardi Gran Reserva Diez.”
