Botanicals: Beefeater 24 is crafted with a blend of 12 botanicals, including juniper, angelica root, coriander seeds, lemon peel, Seville orange peel, orris root, licorice, bitter almond, Chinese green tea, Japanese sencha tea, grapefruit peel, and Chinese green tea. These botanicals contribute to the gin’s complex and sophisticated flavor profile.
Distillation: The botanicals are steeped in neutral grain spirit for a full 24 hours to allow the flavors to fully develop. After steeping, the botanical-infused spirit is then distilled in traditional copper pot stills.
Chinese Green Tea and Japanese Sencha Tea: The unique addition of Chinese green tea and Japanese sencha tea is a defining characteristic of Beefeater 24. These teas contribute delicate and aromatic notes, adding a layer of complexity to the gin.
Alcohol Content and Dilution: After distillation, the gin is diluted with water to achieve the desired alcohol by volume (ABV), which is typically around 45%.
Bottling: Once the gin reaches its desired strength and flavor profile, it is carefully filtered and bottled for distribution.
