About the Distillery
Bulleit may be a modern brand—founded in 1987 by Tom Bulleit but its spirit is deeply traditional. Inspired by a rare 19th-century family recipe, Bulleit embraced a high-rye style to stand apart. Today, its rye is distilled under contract by MGP Ingredients in Indiana, while blending, aging, and bottling take place in Kentucky. In 2017, Bulleit opened a cutting-edge distillery and visitor center in Shelbyville, Kentucky, built with sustainability in mind and showcasing state-of-the-art distillation technology.
