The wine opens deep and opaque, nearly black at its core. Aromatically, it is profound rather than expressive blackcurrant, graphite, crushed stone, cigar box and subtle cedar emerge with time in the glass.
On the palate, the structure is commanding yet seamless. Cassis, dark plum, iron, mineral salts and tobacco leaf unfold slowly, carried by layers of ultra-fine, tightly wound tannins. The mid-palate is dense and compact, while the finish is monumental long, cool and etched with precision. This is a wine of architecture, not ornament, revealing its complexity gradually and with absolute control.
