About the Winery
Founded in 1885 by Italian immigrant Felipe Rutini, Bodega La Rural has become a symbol of Argentine excellence. The Felipe Rutini label honours his legacy, showcasing the pinnacle of Mendoza’s viticulture and winemaking artistry. Produced in limited quantities, this wine has earned critical acclaim and a place among Argentina’s most prestigious offerings.
Each varietal is sourced from carefully chosen high-altitude vineyards in Mendoza’s Uco Valley to highlight the character of both the grape and the terroir:
The Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec are both sourced from the prestigious Gualtallary vineyards. This site’s chalky soils and cool climate deliver grapes with exceptional structure, minerality, and freshness that are essential for crafting a wine of elegance and longevity.
The Merlot comes from the renowned Altamira vineyards, where slightly warmer conditions and alluvial soils coax plush, ripe fruit and a velvety texture from the variety, perfectly complementing the other components of the blend.
