About the Distillery
Grant’s is a renowned Scottish whisky brand with a history dating back to 1887 when William Grant founded the Glenfiddich Distillery. The brand is known for producing a range of quality blended whiskies, and Grant’s Triple Wood is one of their notable expressions.
How this product is made
The Triple Wood 12 Years Old expression undergoes a unique maturation process, involving three types of oak casks:
American Oak Barrels: The whisky starts its maturation journey in American oak barrels, which were previously used to age bourbon. This imparts vanilla and caramel notes to the whisky.
Virgin Oak Barrels: The whisky is then transferred to virgin oak barrels, which are new oak casks without any previous whisky aging. This step allows the whisky to interact with the wood and gain additional wood-derived flavors.
Refill American Oak Barrels: Lastly, the whisky is transferred to refill American oak barrels for the final stage of maturation, where it continues to develop its flavor and character.
The combination of these three wood types contributes to the whisky’s rich and multi-layered taste profile.

Palate: Smooth and mellow, with flavors of honey, oak spice, dried fruits, and a subtle nuttiness.
