Grant’s is a renowned Scottish whisky brand with a long history in the whisky industry. The brand is known for producing a range of quality blended whiskies, and Grant’s Triple Wood is one of their notable expressions.
How this product is made
American Oak Barrels: The whisky begins its aging journey in American oak barrels, which were previously used to age bourbon. This imparts vanilla and caramel notes to the whisky.
Refill American Oak Barrels: After a period of time in the American oak barrels, the whisky is transferred to refill American oak barrels for further aging. These barrels allow the whisky to continue developing its flavor without being overly influenced by the wood.
Sherry Casks: The final stage of aging takes place in sherry casks, which bring additional complexity and rich fruity notes to the whisky.
The combination of these three different types of oak casks results in a whisky with a diverse range of flavors and a well-rounded character.
Technical Details
Aromas: Sweet and fruity, with notes of ripe orchard fruits, toffee, and vanilla.
Palate: Smooth and mellow, with flavors of honey, caramel, dried fruits, and a touch of oak spice.
Finish: Lingering and warming, with a gentle spiciness and a pleasant sweetness.
