About the Distillery
Grey Goose Vodka was created by Sidney Frank and François Thibault in the 1990s. It is produced by Bacardi Limited, a renowned spirits company known for its commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
How this product is made
Ingredients: Grey Goose is made from soft winter wheat sourced from the Picardy region of France. The wheat is known for its low gluten content, contributing to the vodka’s smoothness.
Milling and Mashing: The wheat is milled and mixed with natural spring water from Gensac-la-Pallue, located in the Cognac region. This combination creates the mash, which serves as the base for fermentation.
Fermentation: The mash is fermented using a proprietary yeast strain to convert the sugars into alcohol, creating a liquid called “wine.”
Distillation: Grey Goose undergoes a five-step distillation process in copper pot stills. This precise distillation helps to achieve a high level of purity and character in the vodka.
Filtration: After distillation, the vodka is filtered through fine copper mesh to remove any remaining impurities, ensuring a clean and smooth spirit.
