Héritage An 1130 Cité de Carcassonne Rouge originates from Carcassonne in the south of France. The Mediterranean climate, warm with maritime influence, enables the merlot grapes to preserve a certain freshness of flavour.
Harvesting takes place at full maturity. Then the wine undergoes traditional vinification before being aged in barrels.
“An 1130” is a reference to the year the first fortification of the Cité de Carcassonne was built. The fort is a medieval monument classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
