Its pale straw-yellow hue is upgraded with delicate green highlights . On the nose, the bouquet is long, persistent, and evolving—oscillating between floral and fruity nuances . The palate reveals savory minerality and flinty tones, finishing on warm, toasted almond and walnut notes with citrus undertones. One critic described it as “bright golden yellow with green shimmer” and “compact on the nose, with yellow apple, dandelion, honey, and vibrant, savory palate.

La Scolca’s Etichetta Nera 2019 is a limited-edition Gavi DOCG crafted from hand-selected Cortese grapes grown in the high hills of Rovereto Superiore di Gavi. This exceptional wine showcases the estate’s belief in the longevity of Cortese, featuring a rigorous “sur lie” winemaking method and bottle maturation to deliver extraordinary depth and complexity. Etichetta Nera is crafted from centuries-old vineyards at very low yields and is one of the very few Gavi wines designed to age and remain profound over time
