Cask Selection: Macallan Triple Cask Matured 18 Year Old is aged in a combination of three cask types: European oak sherry-seasoned casks, American oak sherry-seasoned casks, and American oak ex-bourbon casks. These cask types contribute different flavors and aromas to the whisky.
Maturation Period: The whisky is matured for a minimum of 18 years, allowing it to develop complex and sophisticated flavors from the interaction with the oak casks.
Blending: After the aging process, the whisky is carefully blended to achieve a consistent and harmonious flavor profile across each bottling.
Bottling: Once the desired characteristics are achieved, the whisky is bottled at its natural cask strength or diluted to the desired alcohol by volume (ABV).
