Parker Coonawarra Estate Favourite Son Chardonnay is a vibrant and elegant cool-climate white wine from the heart of South Australia’s famed Coonawarra region. Sourced from the Williams family vineyard—just a short tractor ride from the Parker Estate Cellar Door—this 2016 vintage showcases the purity and finesse of Coonawarra Chardonnay.
In the glass, it displays a bright light straw colour with golden tints, hinting at the richness within. The nose is expressive, offering lifted aromas of ripe nectarine, honeydew melon, and subtle notes of toasted cashews and warm spice.
The palate is fresh and layered, beginning with a burst of lemon citrus before unfolding into a creamy panna cotta texture, hints of brioche, and a touch of mineral restraint. It finishes clean, crisp, and beautifully balanced.
Fermented in stainless steel and aged on lees for six months, this Chardonnay gains added complexity and texture while retaining a fruit-driven character. The result is a wine that is youthful, refined, and food-friendly, ideal for pairing with creamy cheeses, roast chicken, or seafood risotto.
