About the Distillery
The Patrón Spirits Company was founded in 1989 with the vision of producing top-quality tequila. It has since become one of the most recognizable and respected tequila brands globally, known for its dedication to craftsmanship and attention to detail.
How this product is made
Harvesting and Cooking: The mature blue agave plants are harvested by hand, and their core, known as the piña, is roasted in traditional brick ovens to convert the starches into fermentable sugars.
Milling and Fermentation: The cooked agave is crushed to extract the agave juice, which is then fermented with yeast to produce a low-alcohol liquid called “mosto.”
Double Distillation: The mosto is double-distilled in copper pot stills, which helps to concentrate the flavors and achieve a high-quality tequila spirit.
Bottling: After distillation, the tequila is bottled without any additional aging, preserving its pure and fresh agave flavor.”
