About this bottle
San Felipe Oak Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the stable of Rutini Wines, one of Argentina’s foremost wineries. In fact the grapes come from the winery’s oldest vineyards at Maipú, close to the Andes mountains. Here the warm climate results in jammy flavours and a bold, fruit-forward wine.
Following malolactic fermentation the winemaker matures the wine with oak for 7 months before bottling; half in new American oak and half in 2nd and 3rd use French oak. This imparts complexity and structure while smoothing the tannins.
