How this product is made 

What sets The Botanist Gin apart is the wide array of botanicals used in its production. There are 22 hand-foraged and locally sourced botanicals, each carefully chosen to capture the essence of Islay’s rugged and diverse landscape.

The exact botanical recipe is a closely guarded secret, but it includes a variety of herbs, flowers, and berries, along with traditional gin botanicals like juniper berries, coriander seeds, and angelica root. Some of the unique island botanicals may include heather, thistle, gorse flowers, and various types of mint.

The production process involves copper pot distillation, which is a traditional method that allows the flavors of the botanicals to infuse and interact with the base spirit. This careful distillation process results in a gin with a rich and complex flavor profile.
