An aged gin from the people who make Dictador Rum which is based on the forula of the company’s former president, Dario Parra. After visiting the UK and enjoying what he decided to be God’s drink (who can blame him? Gin’s great!), he went about creating his own Colombian gin. He settled on a glorious recipe, rich with juniper, angelica and mint notes. After distillation, the Ortodoxy Gin is aged in used rum barrels.

The brand is named after a fictional character, “Dictador,” who embodies the adventurous spirit of the brand. Dictador is renowned for its premium spirits and distinctive approach to aging and finishing its products in ex-rum barrels, resulting in unique and flavorful expressions.
How this product is made
Dictador has gained recognition for its innovative approach to gin-making, which involves aging their gin in oak barrels previously used to age their premium rums. This aging process imparts additional depth, complexity, and character to their gins, distinguishing them from traditional gins that are typically unaged.
Technical Details
Appearance: The aging process in oak barrels may give the gin a golden or amber hue, differentiating it from the clear appearance of unaged gins.
Nose: The aroma may offer a harmonious blend of traditional gin botanicals (such as juniper, citrus, and herbs) along with hints of oak, vanilla, and spice from the barrel aging.
Palate: On the palate, aged gins from Dictador are likely to have a complex and well-rounded taste. The classic gin flavors are complemented by notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted oak from the barrel influence.
Finish: The finish could be smooth and lingering, with a balance between the gin’s botanicals and the nuances from the aging process.
Alcohol Content:
Dictador’s aged gin expressions typically have an alcohol by volume (ABV) percentage similar to that of traditional gins, which is around 40% to 45%.
