Unlike Schweppes or standard tonic, this uses quinine from original Cinchona Ledgeriana trees in the DRC and bitter orange oils from Mexican smallholders. The result is a cleaner, more defined bitterness that does not rely on synthetic additives or excessive sugar. That makes it the right mixer for drinkers who want their G&T to taste of both gin and tonic, not just gin and sweetness. It is one of the few premium Indian tonics in our range that comes in a single-serve can, keeping every pour fresh.

Serving Suggestions

Open the 150ml can cold and pour straight over ice. Do not open in advance or the bubbles escape.
For a classic G&T
Fill a copa or highball with ice
add 50ml London Dry Gin
Top with the full can.
Garnish with a lime wedge.
For a Vodka Tonic
Use 50ml premium vodka and a lemon twist
The bitter orange oils in the tonic echo the citrus peel.
For a non-alcoholic serve
Pour over ice with a squeeze of lime and a slice of cucumber.
The quinine bite gives it enough backbone to stand alone. On any evening where the plan is a proper round, this is the can that keeps the mixer as sharp as the spirit.

What You Need to Know:

How does this standard Fever-Tree Tonic taste next to other brands?
The quinine is more pronounced and cleaner — it comes from original Cinchona Ledgeriana trees in the DRC, not synthetic sources. The bitterness is sharper and the finish is drier, with a trace of Mexican bitter orange rather than cloying sweetness.
Is the 150ml can enough for one drink, or will I need two?
One 150ml can is built for a single standard G&T at a 1:3 ratio with 50ml gin. The size keeps the carbonation fresh — no flat dregs from a larger bottle.
Which gins pair best with this standard Indian Tonic?
London Dry Gin is the classic match. The juniper and botanicals hold their own against the quinine bite. It also works with citrus-forward or floral gins where you want the tonic to add structure rather than compete.
Can I drink this tonic on its own without alcohol?
Yes. Pour it over ice with a squeeze of lime and a slice of cucumber. The quinine bitterness and carbonation make it a proper soft drink rather than a diluted mixer.
How many calories are in one 150ml can?
Approximately 50 calories per 150ml can. If you want fewer, the Light version uses fructose and drops the count to around 26 calories per can.
Is this a good add-on for a home bar starter gift?
Yes. The single-serve cans and premium sourcing make it a practical, thoughtful add-on for anyone building a home bar. Pair it with a bottle of London Dry Gin.
What happens if Fever-Tree Tonic Water is out of stock?
Our customer service team can help you find a suitable alternative or source the product where possible.
What is the latest I can order for same-day delivery in Nairobi?
Nairobi orders placed before 9 PM qualify for same-day delivery, typically completed within a 1-hour window. Free delivery applies to orders above KES 3,000 within Nairobi. Orders outside Nairobi are delivered nationwide across Kenya within 24 to 48 hours.

Description

A crisp Indian tonic with quinine from the DRC and bitter orange from Mexico. The 150ml can that keeps a G&T sharp from first pour to last sip.

Most tonic water is an afterthought. This one is built around the ingredient that defines the category. Fever-Tree sources quinine from original Cinchona Ledgeriana trees in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They use the same strain used when tonic water was first formulated in the 19th century. The bark is blended with spring water and eight botanicals, including bitter orange oils from smallholder farms in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula.
The 150ml can is sized for a single perfect serve. Open it cold, pour over ice, and the carbonation stays intact. No half-flat leftovers from a 500ml bottle. For buyers in Kenya, the practical point is a mixer that treats the G&T as a two-ingredient drink rather than a gin delivery system. Best suited for anyone who has moved on from Schweppes and wants the quinine to taste like quinine.

About The Producer

Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow founded Fever-Tree in 2004 after discovering most mixers were loaded with artificial ingredients and cheap aromatics. They spent 15 months in the British Library researching quinine sources dating back to 1620, then traced the purest strains to the Rwanda-Congo border. Their first product, Premium Indian Tonic Water, launched in 2005. The name comes from the colloquial term for the cinchona tree — the source of quinine. Today, Fever-Tree sources botanicals from across the world: Mexican bitter oranges, Sicilian lemons, and ginger from Nigeria, the Ivory Coast and India. The Wine Box Kenya stocks their range for buyers who take the mixer as seriously as the spirit.
