About the Distillery
The Isle of Wight Distillery is an artisanal distillery located on the Isle of Wight, an island off the south coast of England. The distillery is dedicated to producing high-quality and unique spirits, and Mermaid Gin is one of their flagship products.
How this product is made
Base Spirit: The base spirit used for Mermaid Gin is made from sustainably sourced British wheat.
Botanicals: The gin is crafted using a blend of botanicals, including juniper berries, coriander seeds, angelica root, lemon zest, grains of paradise, rock samphire (foraged from the island’s coastline), and other secret botanicals.
Distillation: The botanicals and the base spirit are distilled in copper pot stills, allowing the flavors of the botanicals to infuse into the spirit and create a well-balanced and aromatic gin.
Blue Bottle: Mermaid Gin is bottled in a distinctive blue bottle, which reflects the spirit’s connection to the sea and the island’s maritime heritage.

Aromas: Bright and zesty, with prominent citrus and juniper aromas.
Palate: Refreshing and herbaceous, with flavors of lemon, samphire, and subtle spice from the grains of paradise.
