About the Distillery
Roku Gin is produced by Suntory Spirits Limited, a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings Limited. Suntory is a well-respected Japanese company with a rich history of crafting exceptional whiskies, spirits, and other beverages.
How this product is made
Japanese Botanicals: The heart of Roku Gin’s uniqueness lies in the selection of six traditional Japanese botanicals. These botanicals include sakura flower (cherry blossom), sakura leaf (cherry leaf), sencha tea, gyokuro tea, sansho pepper, and yuzu.
Additional Botanicals: Alongside the Japanese botanicals, Roku Gin also includes eight traditional gin botanicals, such as juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, and others.
Steeping and Distillation: The botanicals, both Japanese and traditional, are individually steeped in neutral grain spirit. After steeping, the botanicals are then distilled separately to extract their flavors.
Blending: The distillates from each botanical are meticulously blended together to achieve the desired balance of flavors and aromas. The result is a harmonious expression that celebrates the Japanese botanicals while maintaining the classic characteristics of gin.
Water Quality: As with many Japanese spirits, the quality of the water used in the production of Roku Gin is essential. Suntory is known for its attention to sourcing pristine water, which adds to the overall purity and refinement of the gin.
Bottling: The final gin is carefully filtered and bottled, ready to be enjoyed.

Appearance: Roku Gin has a crystal-clear appearance, typical of high-quality gins.
Nose: The aroma is delicate and inviting, with floral and citrus notes from the Japanese botanicals.
Palate: On the palate, the gin offers a smooth and well-balanced taste. The Japanese botanicals contribute subtle floral and tea-like nuances, while the traditional botanicals provide classic gin characteristics of juniper and spice.
Finish: The finish is clean and refreshing, with a gentle warmth and hints of citrus from the yuzu.
Alcohol Content:
Roku Gin typically has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of around 43%, which is slightly higher than the standard 40% ABV found in many gins.
