Bombay Sapphire is a world-famous gin brand produced by Bombay Spirits Company, which is a part of Bacardi Limited. The gin is crafted at the Laverstoke Mill Distillery in Hampshire, England, where the brand upholds its commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
How this product is made
Selection of Botanicals: The gin features a careful selection of botanicals, including juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, and cubeb berries, among others. The choice of botanicals is key to achieving the gin’s distinct flavor profile.
Vapor Infusion: The botanicals are placed in perforated copper baskets in the still’s vapor chamber. The base spirit is then vapor-infused with these botanicals during distillation, allowing for a delicate extraction of flavors.
Longer Distillation: Star of Bombay undergoes a longer distillation process compared to the classic Bombay Sapphire gin. This extended distillation allows for greater extraction of flavors and a more intense aromatic profile.
Alcohol Content: Star of Bombay Gin has a slightly higher alcohol by volume (ABV) compared to Bombay Sapphire, typically around 47.5%, contributing to its bolder flavor profile.”
