The Crossings Pinot Noir is a light-bodied red wine from New Zealand. Delicate red fruits on the nose sit alongside wisps of smoke and forest floor; on the palate, plum and cranberry shine through balanced by mineral tones typical of Marlborough wines. Well structured and smooth drinking.

The earthy tones in this wine make it a good match for game meat such as duck and venison. Also try it with lamb rack, veal or roast pork.
About this bottle
The Crossings Pinot Noir is made from 100% pinot noir grapes grown in New Zealand’s famous Marlborough region. The grapes are grown in the premium sub-region of Awatere Valley; here, growing conditions are harsh, with the result that the fruit ripens slowly and develops more intense flavours.
Each block is picked at perfect ripeness, then the parcels are treated separately to retain and enhance the character of each vineyard block; hot fermentation with carefully selected yeasts follows cold maceration of the grapes. Then, the wines undergo malolactic fermentation and aging in French oak for 9 months. Finally, the winemaker blends the wine before stabilising and filtering prior to bottling.
